Finn in fly­ing form as Kil­te­gan seal vic­tory

What­ever was said at half time changed the whole dy­namic of the game with Avon­dale drop­ping off their game alarm­ingly and Kil­te­gan born again.

Avon­dale were to score only twice more in the sec­ond 30 with a Conor McGraynor free added to by Conor Byrnes sweet left footed point all they would have to show for their ef­forts. Kil­te­gan cer­tainly en­joyed a lot more pos­ses­sion as Finn took con­trol and Mikie Fo­ley also ex­celled.

The in­tro­duc­tion of PJ Daly caused prob­lems for Avon­dale and Seanie Fur­long found the range five times as they clawed their way back and went ahead with six min­utes to play when Geoffrey Ber­ming­ham pointed. Avon­dale had no answers but had a goal at­tempt blocked late on be­fore Seanie Fur­long sealed a very good win in in­jury time.
