WICKLOW ROVERS

-

Our senior ladies team went down 5-2 away to Firhouse Carmel in the first round of the DWSL shield last week. The girls definitely didn’t get the rub of the green in this game with nothing going their way at any stage during the match.

To their credit they never dropped their heads and battled right up to the final whistle.

Crucial decisions went against them at important times throughout the match. Rachel ‘The Goal Machine’ Bolger fired home both Rovers goals.

On the night Rachel, Charmaine Higgins and Bridget O’Reilly who was playing her first game between the posts were excellent for Rovers.

Finally, we would like to wish Rachel a speedy recovery from a knee injury she suffered in the game.
