FITNESS TRANSFORMA­TION

Colly Yeoman runs his fitness classes at the GAA pitch every week. Bootcamp Monday at 7 p.m. down in the pitch. Strength and Condition Class Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Yoga Thursday at 7 p.m. All levels of fitness are welcome. Body Conditioni­ng Class Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

YOGA

Yoga and Mindfulnes­s Classes New Term starting Monday, September 12, in Newcastle Le Cheile 7.45 p.m. – 8.45 p.m. Back Care Yoga Class €130 for 10 weeks and Thursday, September 15, 10.30 a.m. – midday €170 for 12 weeks. Those classes include yoga postures, mindful breathing and relaxation/ meditation practices and are suitable for all ages and level of fitness. Drop in possible €16. Contact Angelika 087 2176068.

GOLF CLASSIC

A charity golf classic will take place on September the third at glenmill golf club in aid of Newcastle community centre. Teams of four are €80 contact Mick at 087 0543000 to register a team or to sponsor a prize.

NEWCASTLE DUATHLON

It’s that time of year again the Newcastle Duathlon will take place on Saturday, October 8, so get training and make this year better than ever.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

Badminton takes place every Tuesday at 8.3oPM. New members are always welcome and it’s a great way to keep fit.

COUNTRY MARKET

the North Wicklow country market takes place in the community centre every Saturday from 10 p.m. Till 12.30 p.m.

THE CASTLE INN

Ger Vickers and Deccy Webb play the castle inn lounge this Saturday the 27th from 10.30 p.m. The restaurant will be open Saturday with a threecours­e dinner and a bottle of wine for two people for €60. Helen O’Malley has her line dancing class this Sunday from 7.30 p.m. upstairs. Last man standing is starting soon – contact the bar staff for details.
