ARKLOW TOWN FC

-

An unprecedented number of home games took place in Bridgewater Centre Park at the weekend. A lot of work went into the smooth running of these games and we would like to thank the managers, referees, volunteers and players who ensured that a successful weekend was had by all.

Kicking off proceedings on Friday night was our LSL first team who hosted Portmarnock FC on our grass pitch. A high end and challenging game saw our first team walk away with a 2-2 draw with goals coming from Patrick Kibbler and Jack Darcy.

Our WDFL Youths team travelled to Ashford for their first game of the season and walked away 6-3 winners. Well done to them and we wish them well for the season ahead.

We would like to give a special mention to our under-8 team who played their very first game in a non competitive Wicklow League fixture on Saturday. A most enjoyable game was had by all.

Our very popular Little Astros Club continues every Saturday morning from 10am until 11am. Free of charge, it is open to boys and girls aged four to seven years of age and children are welcome to join at any stage with no booking necessary.

Our weekly club bingo is held every Thursday night in our main clubhouse hosted by our regular bingo caller Dicey O’Reilly. The first number is called at 8.30pm, with plenty of prizes on offer. Do call up, a great night is guaranteed!

Our club lotto prize fund currently stands at an impressive €6,550. Tickets are €2 each and can be obtained from our club shop, with any committee member and in various outlets throughout the town.

Please check out our Facebook page at The Town - Arklow Town FC for pictures, match reports and events happening within our club.
