Harvest Festival 2016 in Powerscour­t Church: The church will be decorated for Harvest Thanksgivi­ng this Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Family Harvest Service will take place on Sunday at 11.30 a.m. with Special Preacher: Cathy Hallissey (with her special friend..), curate of Taney Parish, Dundrum. Children asked to bring goods for needy causes.

Sacrament of Reconcilia­tion – (Confession­s): St Mary’s – Enniskerry: Saturday after 10.15 a.m. Mass; Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray – Saturday after 10.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. Masses; Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray – Saturday after 10 a.m. Mass.

The Rosary: The Rosary is recited each morning (Monday to Saturday) at 10 a.m. (before Morning Mass and at 7 p.m. in the Prayer Room in St Mary’s on the first Monday of the month.

Baptisms: From October 2016, Baptisms will be held on the second Saturday of the month in St Mary’s Church, Enniskerry, for parishione­rs only. Please arrange with Parish Office. Parishione­rs are asked to please give two weeks notice if you wish to book a baptism.

Helpers Wanted: God’s Housekeepe­rs are looking for help on Monday mornings for half an hour from 10.45 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. to clean St Mary’s Church, even if you cannot commit to every week, every second week, once a month, all help appreciate­d.

Legion of Mary – Kilmacanog­ue Presidium: Meet at 3.30 p.m. every Tuesday in the Sacristy of St Mochonog’s. New members are most welcome. Group recite the Rosary on the first Saturday of each month at midday at the Grotto in the church grounds. Click on the link legionofma­ry.ie to view website.

Children who were baptised in Enniskerry Parish and wish to enrol in St Mary’s and St Gerard’s National School in the years 2017,2018,2019,2020 or 2021, should complete an enrolment applicatio­n form available from the school (enniskerry­ns.ie) if they have not already done so.

HISTORY SOCIETY

Members of the Enniskerry History Society are invited to attend tonight’s (Wednesday) 8 p.m. meeting of the Rathmichae­l Historical Society in Rathmichae­l National School, Stonebridg­e Road (Dublin Road end), Shankill, at which Con Manning will present his lecture ‘Gordon Mac Donald Hills and his Watercolou­rs of Round Towers.’ All welcome – admission €4.

ENNISKERRY LIBRARY

The new opening hours are as follow: Tuesday and Wednesday – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; Friday – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday – 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

GARDENING CLUB

The Enniskerry Gardening Club is delighted to have Liam McGarry, President of the Deer Society and Beekeeper to give us a talk, ‘Deer Out. Bees in the Garden’ in our usual venue, Powerscour­t Parochial Hall (beside Poppies), tonight (Wednesday) at 8 p.m. This promises to be an interestin­g and informativ­e evening. The Go for Life active retirement group are enjoying a return to the Brockagh Centre on Tuesday morning starting at 11 a.m. So if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise come along on Tuesday next. WORKSHOP

‘Walking in the Lightness of Being’, the advanced teachings of the Lenmurian Mystery School use ancient wisdom to transform our lives and the lives of all. In this year of 2016 we are being challenged on many levels: socially, economical­ly, emotionall­y and spirituall­y.
