TAEKWON-DO

Older children and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentrat­ion, channeling aggression, balance, coordinati­on, speed, reactions, fitness and health. GO FOR LIFE

On November 27 there will be a tea dance at the Brockagh Resource Centre from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with music by the Wicklow Man. Pre-Christmas fun before the a busy December kicks in, a spacious hall where you can dance away the afternoon, brightenin­g the winter months with old and new friends. Groups from any area are very welcome, large or small just call at 0404 45600 to book for groups.

WE LOVE ART

Art and crafts classes for kids, are back on Monday afternoons at the Brockagh Centre from September 12. Classes cover a wide range of art and craft forms. We work with lots of different materials and learn new skills and techniques with every project. It’s all about the joy of making.

MINDFUL ATHLETICIS­M

Mindful Athletic Performanc­e is for athletes who would like to get more from their sports performanc­e, be more present and in the moment when training or competing, learn to modify their behaviour with awareness, overcome negative beliefs or thoughts that are holding your performanc­e back, would like to achieve and realize their goals.

DRAMA AND DANCE

Classesare back on Wednesdays at the Brockagh Resource Centre. Drama and dance will now be on the same day for more updates contact Kate 086 8256775. Class times and ages are as follows: Elevation Dance-Mod/Theatre Grade one (4-4.45 p.m.), Grade 2/3 (4.455.45), Teen Jazz (5.45 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.). Elevation Drama Junior (4.45 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.), Senior (5.30 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.).

SUPPORT FOR PARENTS

A support workshop for parents is starting in early October at the Brockagh Centre is about how to best support yourself and your child if he/she is diagnosed with a learning disability, developmen­tal or behavioral disorder.
