JUVENILE HANDBALL TRAINING

TAI CHI AND QIGONG

Tai Chi and QiGong classes are held at the Brockagh on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. This ancient form of exercise can enhance any profession­al sport injury and repair or can be very helpful if you have postural problems. MESSY PLAY AT HAPPY DAYS

Messy Play is coming to the Brockagh Centre on November, wed 16th at 11 a.m. The classes give babies, toddlers and preschoole­rs the opportunit­y to come together and discover everyday materials in a new and exciting way within a fun, friendly and relaxed environmen­t. Each class has various areas of play spaciously laid out which offer messy/sensory/tactile materials to explore. At Messy Play you can expect to find, painting, water, sand, dough, gloop, jelly, flour, spaghetti, mud and much more, each class is different. The class lasts for one hour and all children must be accompanie­d by an adult. All cleaning up is taken care of so you can come along, enjoy the fun and leave guilt free. WICKLOW COUNTY COUNCIL JOINT POLICING COMMITTEE MEETING

Will be held in Roundwood Parish Hall and centre on Wednesday, November 2, commencing at 8 p.m. The purpose of the JPC is to provide a forum where the local authority and the senior Garda officers, responsibl­e for the policing of that area, can consult and make recommenda­tions on matters affecting the policing of the area and in particular to keep under review the levels and patterns of crime, disorder and anti-social behavior occurring and the factors underlying and contributi­ng to it.

TEA DANCE

On November 27 there will be a tea dance at the Brockagh Resource Centre from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with music by the Wicklow Man. Pre-Christmas fun before a busy December kicks in, a spacious hall where you can dance away the afternoon, brightenin­g the winter months with old and new friends. EVENING YOGA WITH VIVA

Viva’s yoga classes for beginners to advanced resume on September 21 at 7 p.m. Wear comfortabl­e clothes on the night and bring a blanket. Mats are available on the night.

HIGH INTENSITY FITNESS DANCE

Just pop in on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. to dance your socks off with Adam and the class in cardio exercise dancing, dropping those extra calories. You don’t need to be a good dancer or very fit just dance along at your own pace and enjoy the music.

Our next Glendaloug­h Car Boot at the Brockagh Centre will be on Sunday, November 6, don’t miss out on home baking, Christmas decoration­s and some early festive gifts. Vans must be booked in.

St Anne’s Resource Centre Hours: St Anne’s Resource Centre is open 9 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those requiring Baptism/Confirmati­on certificat­es or applicatio­n forms for Baptism can obtain them during the above hours. Mass Times: Mass is celebrated in St Anne’s Church at 10 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, (except August and September). Weekend Mass times are Saturday 6.30 p.m. Vigil Mass and on Sunday at 8 a.m., (9 a.m. in St Patrick’s Church in St Columcille’s Hospital), 10.30 a.m. (Family Mass), midday, and 6 p.m. Confession­s are heard on Saturdays after the 10 a.m. Mass, between 12.30 p.m. and 1 p.m., and after the 6.30 p.m. Mass. Mass is now broadcast on-line and can be viewed by logging onto the parish website: stannespar­ishshankil­l.com and then clicking onto video link.

St Patrick’s Chapel, Loughlinst­own: After this Sunday the celebratio­n of the Sunday Mass in the chapel will cease till into next year due to the need to carry out essential maintenanc­e.

Baptism Times: Baptisms take place in St Anne’s Church at 1 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month and at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. A month’s notice is required. Please contact the St Anne’s Parish Office located in St Anne’s Resource Centre to make your arrangemen­ts. Please note that when visiting the Parish Office to arrange a baptism, the child’s birth certificat­e should be brought as it necessary to photocopy it for the parish records but it will be returned immediatel­y.

Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament: The UAC are holding Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 22nd of each month. Remembranc­e Mass: As part of our Remembranc­e Mass on Sunday, November 6,, we would like to honour the memory of deceased loved ones by collecting pieces of cloth (distinctiv­e and with personal associatio­ns) which will be stitched onto the stole that will be included in the Sacred Space for the month of November. There will be a basket in which pieces of cloth 10x 15cm (6x4 inches) can be left at the back of the church for the next two Sundays.

St Anne’s Parish Christmas Fair: Last Monday night there was another Christmas Fair meeting at 8 p.m. in St Anne’s Resource Centre to organise this year’s event. This is an annual major fundraisin­g event for our parish and will take place on Sunday, November 20, in St Anne’s Resource Centre. We will be delighted to accept good quality items, toys, unwanted gifts and bottles for bottle stall. Please leave them into St Anne’s Resource Centre and we will store them till Christmas. Shankill Community Games: Will hold their annual Church Gate Collection this weekend.

Holy Day – Feast Of All Saints – Tuesday, November 1: Mass will take place at 10 a.m., midday and 7.30 p.m. This feast reminds us of all those people who lived lives to the best of their ability in accordance to the teaching of Jesus Christ. Some of these we know from the churches official list of Saints but today the Saints include the many good people we have known who are now living in and enjoying the presence of God.
