Ashford to welcome Arklow Utd for Wicklow Cup clash

HOLDERS Ashford Rovers A were handed a home tie against Arklow United A, who ply their trade in Division 2, when the Wicklow Cup draw was made on Monday evening.

Elsewhere, Rathnew AFC A will face familiar opposition as they pit their wits against their own third string, while Wicklow Town have been drawn away to St. Fergal’s.

Last year’s beaten finalists Newtown United are also on the road for their next clash when they travel to meet Greystones United with the winners facing Glencormac United.

Rathnew’s second team face a tricky assignment when they welcome Roundwood AFC to Shamrock Park while Shamrock Celtic A will hit the road to take on Gorey Saints.

Seaview Wanderers or Conary United will do battle with Carnew AFC A while Avonmore FC take on Ashford Rovers B. Interesting times ahead!
