The Rosary: The Rosary is recited each morning (Monday to Saturday) at 10 a.m. (before Morning Mass and at 7 p.m. in the Prayer Room in St Mary’s on the first Monday of the month.
Annual Mass for Deceased: This Friday at 7.30 p.m. in St Mary’s Parish Church for all parishioners whose Funeral Mass was held in St Mary’s, St Mochonog’s, St Patrick’s and St Kevin’s churches in the past year. If you would like to add the name of a loved one who had their funeral Mass outside the parish please contact the Parish Office. All parishioners are welcome to attend this Mass and pray for their relatives, fellow parishioners and friends
Baptisms: Baptisms are now held on the second Saturday of the month in St Mary’s Church, Enniskerry, for parishioners only. Please arrange with Parish Office. Parishioners are asked to please give two weeks notice if you wish to book a baptism.
Confirmation Preparation Mass This Sunday: The third of the 2017 Confirmation Preparation Masses takes place this Sunday at 10 a.m. in St Mochonog’s and 11 a.m. in St Mary’s. The Theme for the Mass will be ‘Living in Light.’ The children have been asked to write a note of two ways that they can show God’s light to others and to try to do them. They will bring their note to Mass and present them to the priest at the Altar. The church will be decorated with colourful posters depicting God’s light.
‘Faith Fest’: Teenagers who wish to meet teenagers from other parishes are invited to ‘Faith Fest at Bray this Friday from 6 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Full details from atfaithfest@dublindiocese. ie. Please see Poster and application forms in Church Porch.

Helpers Wanted: God’s Housekeepers are looking for help on Monday mornings for half an hour from 10.45 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. to clean St Mary’s Church, even if you cannot commit to every week, every second week, once a month, all help appreciated.

Opening hours are as follow: Tuesday and Wednesday – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; Friday – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday – 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Book Club will be continuing and will meet on the last Wednesday of every month. GARDENING CLUB
For their our November meeting which takes place tonight (Wednesday), Thomas Packenham, will be giving an illustrated talk based on his recent book ‘The Company of Trees.’ He will have copies for sale at the meeting. Thomas is the author of ‘Meetings with Remarkable Trees’ which was made into a television series of the same name, and ‘Remarkable Trees of the World.’ Tonight’s talk will take place in Powerscourt Parochial Hall, Enniskerry (next to Poppies) at 8 p.m. All Welcome – €7 for non-member
Loraine Smith O’Toole, James Scott and Tom Fortune recently made an application to the Town and Village Renewal Scheme and succeeded in making the short list. €44,200 has now been granted to Kilcoole. Details will be forthcoming about how the money will be spent. This is a great opportunity for important investment in our community and will add value to our village.
KAPS NEWS
The building contractors are now onsite and work has begun on the Sea Road playground which is to be called ‘Little Tern Park’. The plans can be viewed at the Community Centre. The KAPS Committee are working with Wicklow County Council to add to the project using money fund-raised back in 2005/2006.
It is hoped to provide further picnic benches and seating, as well as constructing a bespoke entrance to the playground. When the work is completed, KAPS will throw a launch party to celebrate this long awaited but worth waiting for facility.
