Rock slippage at Cliff Walk

-

SOME ROCKS fell down Bray Head at the cliff walk area last Sunday evening. The path was still passable and the rocks cleared away the following day.

Meanwhile, the Cliff Walk Committee has heard that an upgrade scheme for the walk will begin in March. The works will include new steps where needed, resurfacing works, fencing and other physical improvements. Phase two will address interpretive and signage issues. Some work will occur at night time.

Cllr Gerry Walsh of Greystones, who is a member of the Cliff Walk Committee, said that the works are expected to take at least three months, with sections of the walk to be closed to the public at intervals.
