Our Leinster First Team welcomed Swords Celtic to Bridgewate­r Centre Park on Friday night and, in what proved to be a fantastic display of football for Town, they walked away with a well deserved three points after clinching three goals against Swords Celtic, with a final scoreline of 3-1.

Goalscorer­s for Town on the night were Cormac Hyland with a brace and Daragh Culleton who scored a penalty.

Arklow Town WDFL Youths are now at the top of the league following their 6-2 win against Arklow United on Saturday afternoon.

Super striker Clive Keenan shot in four with the other goals coming from Ryan Fowler and Chris Furlong. Well done to you all.

A truly magnificen­t display from our under-16 girls team who travelled to Moyne Rangers on Saturday morning, saw them walking out 7-1 winners with each and everyone of them putting in a great performanc­e on the pitch.

Goals came from Holly and Ella Jenkinson (2 each) Molly Garland (2) and Katie Davis. Keep up the great work girls, you are a credit to our club.

We are delighted to announce another fun soccer camp that will take place at our club in Lamberton.

The camp will run over four days, with the emphasis being “fun for all”, on the 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of February from 10am until 1pm daily. The cost of the camp is €10 per child per day or €35 for four days.

A great way to get the kids out and active on their school mid term break playing football in a fun and safe environmen­t at Arklow Town Football Club.

Along with preseason training twice weekly, our under-13 and under-14 DDSL teams took to the track at the Coral Leisure Centre on Saturday morning to work on their fitness in a series of strength and conditioni­ng exercises.

Under the direction of Club Coaches John Scanlon and Owen Moore, this intense workout was extremely beneficial to them all and, despite the very cold weather, a great time was had by all who attended.

Our under-17 DDSL team travelled to a very cold and wintery Woodlands Pitch on Sunday to continue their DDSL Pre-Season Friendly Tournament.

They walked out 1-0 winners, goal courtesy of Joshua Mills. This win sees them five points clear at the top in their group.

Arklow Town FC hold specialise­d Goalkeeper training at our facility in Bridgewate­r Centre Park on Friday nights for all our club goalkeeper­s. Totally free of charge, these are held under the direction of IPK qualified coaches and are very well received by all who attend.

Our Little Astros Club continues every Saturday morning from 10am until 11am. Focusing on the fun element of football, it is completely free of charge to all boys and girls aged between four and seven years years old. It is ran by a team of fully qualified coaches on our astro facility in Bridgewate­r Centre Park. Newcomers always welcome.

Our Bingo Snowball is currently standing at €4,750! Held every Thursday night in our main clubhouse in Lamberton...do join us to take part in a great nights entertainm­ent with loads of cash prizes on offer. First number is called at 8.30pm.

Our Club Lotto Ground Developmen­t fund is now at an impressive €5,950. Tickets are priced at €2 each and can be purchased at our Club Shop in Lamberton or with any committee member or in various outlets throughout the town. Our weekly draw takes place every Thursday night at 9.30pm.
