En­tries open for St Pa­trick’s Day pa­rade

PREPA­RA­TIONS are un­der way for this year’s St Pa­trick’s Festival, with arts, youth, sport­ing and com­mu­nity groups in­vited to take part.

The pa­rade and fun­fair will be ac­com­pa­nied by a week­end-long series of sup­port­ing events, in­clud­ing live tra­di­tional music, and the fam­ily fun day out. The festival will run from March 15 to March 19.

As usual there will be prizes awarded to the best pa­rade par­tic­i­pants. There are sev­eral dif­fer­ent cat­e­gories of awards and the win­ners will be se­lected by the judges on the view­ing stand.

‘Ev­ery year the St Pa­trick’s Festival Bray com­mit­tee does their ut­most to pro­vide a mag­i­cal and fun filled day out for all the res­i­dents of Bray,’ said Mick Glynn, chair­per­son of the festival. ‘We try year af­ter year to build and im­prove on the festival and this year again we call upon all the lo­cal com­mu­nity groups for their help to cre­ate yet an­other suc­cess­ful day for all the thou­sands of spec­ta­tors who visit Bray for the Pa­rade.’

The route will ex­tend from Bray Town Hall along Main Street to Quins­boro Road, be­fore snaking its way around the Carlisle Grounds onto Sea­point Road where it will turn on Bray Seafront.
