HARD LAND­SCAP­ING SKILLS FPR HOR­TI­CUL­TURE/GAR­DEN­ING – Ideal op­por­tu­nity of a funded train­ing npro­gramme aimed at in­di­vid­u­als with an in­ter­est in gain­ing a recog­nised qual­i­fi­ca­tion and em­ploy­ment in hor­ti­cul­ture. Par­tic­i­pants will learne a range of con­struc­tion skills, and con­struct el­e­ments of hard land­scap­ing such as build­ing walls, con­struct­ing flat land­scap­ing fea­tures, car­pen­try as well as the use of a range of tools and equip­ment as­so­ci­ated with con­struc­tion. this is a two-day a week part time QQI level four train­ing course. The an­nual trip this year will be to Gal­way. Par­tic­i­pants will travel by coach on Mon­day, April 17, and re­turn on Fri­day, April 21. The group will stay in Flan­nery’s Ho­tel, Gal­way. Daytrips will in­cor­po­rate vis­its to places such as Clif­den and Kyle­more Abbey and Gar­dens, ferry to Inish­more, half day scenic tour of South Gal­way and North Clare via Bal­ly­vaughan and the Bur­ren and other places of in­ter­est. To­tal Cost €330 (Shar­ing) and €410 (Sin­gle Room Oc­cu­pancy).

Wick­low GAA is run­ning an on­line Foun­da­tion Foot­ball course which is cer­ti­fied over the next few weeks, reg­is­tra­tion and in­struc­tions can be found on­learn­ If you would like to com­plete or know of any­one who wants even to be in­volved in a mi­nor ca­pac­ity it is a use­ful course to com­plete.

We are de­lighted to have a large num­ber of kids play­ing for our fast grow­ing ju­ve­nile sides, more kids means more helpers so if you feel you are in a po­si­tion to help in any ca­pac­ity our fu­ture GAA stars then please get in touch as it takes much more than a man­ager to run each team. Some of our ju­ve­nile teams are back train­ing and we would hope to have all our teams back within the next few weeks. The un­der-14 girls are train­ing next Satur­day and ev­ery Satur­day at 11.30 in the pitch, while the un­der-16 girls are train­ing on Mon­days and Fri­days at 7.30 p.m.
