ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

The Newtown St Patrick’s Day Parade is open for entries. All groups/clubs/businesses are welcome to walk with a banner or enter a float in the parade. Entry is free just register with Anne Duffy in the flower shop and look forward to being part of the best parade in Wicklow.

COMMUNITY FORUM

Unfortunately last weekend both our under-13s and 15’s received walkovers, as their opposition couldn’t field a team/s. Both the under-10s and 11’s had both their games postponed due to an unplayable pitch. The only teams that saw action were the under-8s and under-9s.

The 8’s travelled to Enniskerry and on a lovely sunny Sunday morning they played out a series of games in Bogmeadow. Among the scorers on the day were Ryan McDonald, Lily Murphy, Leon O’Connor and Leighton Byrne.

The under-9s played away to Greystones and they too played their series of games out in beautiful weather. Among the scorers on the day for the 9’s were Luke Turley, Aidan Heffernan and William Valentine, while among the players who starred were Sebastian Anton and Pat Carey.
