EMMANUEL

Congratulations to all those who participated in the Emmanuel Concert in the Helix on Monday last, particularly Megan Rea and Colm Roche, who both had solo pieces on the night. FRENCH EXCHANGE

We bid a fond ‘au revoir’ to the French teachers and students from Lycée Thomas Corneille in Barentin near Rouen. They spent five days with us, during which time they did the Viking Splash tour in Dublin and the Spink walk in Glendalough. They also spent time in school testing out their baking, metalwork and hurling skills.

JUNIOR CERTIFICATE ORALS

Best wishes to the Junior Certificate students who are currently doing their State oral exams in French and Irish. The oral component of the Junior Certificate exam is an important way for students to build competence in the language they are studying and is excellent preparation for the Leaving Certificate.
