Recognition for club’s finest
AN Tochar GAA Club held their All Stars Awards and Dinner Dance in the Glenview Hotel.
The night featured the players’ player award and the announcement of an all-stars team selected from the ladies team, the mens junior C and intermediate teams.
The club’s junior Cs were presented with their championship medals on the night.
The players’ player of the year awards saw by Colm O’Brien win in the junior C section. David Molloy was the intermediate player of the year, while Amy Murphy was voted the ladies player of the year.
Brendan Murphy was recognised as the best supporter and Liam Kenna was presented with a new kit bag.
Marcella Price received the super sub cup.
The All-stars selected for 2016 are Noel Brady, Amy Murphy, Liadh Cronin, Jess Scott, Orla Molloy, Katie Coleman, Peter Byrne, Tom Kenna, Jamie Salley, Robert Cullen, David Molloy, Colm O’Brien, Gavin Kenny, Noel Power and Brendan Swords.
The All Stars manager will be George Power.
The dinner dance proved to be a huge success and thanks were passed on to Deso, Lucy, Shane, George and Chris for organising such a wonderful night.
An Tochar GAA Club was formed in Roundwood on August 8 in 1885, making them one of the oldest clubs in the county, and caters for teams of boys and girls from the ages of four up top senior level.
