GARDAI have confirmed that remains found on Killiney beach on Sunday morning are those of Stefanie Kokaram from Bray.

An appeal was launched in recent days for information regarding the whereabouts of Ms Kokoram (50).

She had last been seen at her home on Greenpark Road last Thursday and was reported missing the following day.

Gardai reported on Sunday that Ms Kokaram’s remains had been found.

The German native had been seen at her home at 8.30 p.m. on Thursday.

Following extensive media coverage, with her image shared widely and posters put up all over Bray and the surrounding areas, a passer-by discovered her body on Sunday.

This was at approximately 7 a.m. on the beach at Killiney.

Gardai have thanked the public and the media for their assistance.

Gardai said that they are not treating the incident as suspicious and referred to Stefanie’s death as ‘a tragic incident’.

During the appeal, Stefanie was described as being five feet, 10 inches in height, of medium build and with brown hair with grey going through it.

She was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a light red top with dark blue flowers all over and a dark brown knee length jacket with fur on the hood.
