MEMORIAL DRIVE

The Darragh D’Arcy memorial drive in conjunctio­n with Drive4Char­ity and Crumlin Hospital will take place on Sunday, June 4, at midday from Naomh Eanna GAA grounds Gorey. A fun day for all the family with face painting, music, barbecue, and raffle, cars, trucks vintage, bikes all €10 All are welcome sponsors are Dean Chambers, Gorey Print and CK Signs.

TIDY TOWNS

The Tidy Town group are in full swing for the months of June and July in preparatio­n for the upcoming Tidy Towns competitio­n, most of the flowers are now planted and will need to be cared for, the grotto is looking very well as is the flower bed on the Inch hill, and the Knockgrean­y road is looking very well also.

The picnic area is getting a makeover and Croghan View is also good, a few flower beds need further caring and the committee are asking local residents to come out again to help.

There is a meeting upstairs in the Trust House on this Wednesday night, May 31, at 8 p.m. to arrange the barbecue and the Duck Race, with helpers needed for this also, the date for the duck race is Saturday, June 17, everyone is welcome to the meeting on the 31st.
