PETER PAN AT POWERSCOUR­T

Chapterhou­se Theatre Company is delighted to present an all-new production of Peter Pan. Join Wendy, Michael and John Darling on their adventures with Peter, far away on the magical island of Neverland. There they encounter the enchanting mermaids, magical fairies and the cruellest pirate of them all, Captain Hook. JM Barrie’s timeless classic is brought to life in a brand new adaptation with beautifull­y designed costumes, music and songs. Join Peter and his friends for what promises to be the most magical afternoon of the summer. The event takes place on Sunday, June 25, from 1.30 p.m. at Powerscour­t Gardens in Enniskerry. Tickets are priced at €19 adult; €16 children concession and family (two adults and two children) €56.

END-OF-EXAMS NIGHT

A Junior Certificat­e end-of-exams celebratio­n night will take place at The Venue, Grand Hotel, Wicklow, on Friday, June 23. The underage night is being run in conjunctio­n with NRG Events and it is expected Nathan from Geordie Shore will be in attendance. The event starts at 7.30pm.

SHEKINA SCULPTURE GARDEN, GLENMALURE

The Sculpture collection evolved over many years and each work in the garden is by a modern Irish artist, working in different mediums – stone, wood, iron, glass, enamel and stainless steel. Over time the sculptures have grown into the garden. Sculptures include Michael Casey, Fred Conlon, Cliodna Cusson, Michael Foley, James Gannon, Leo Higgins, Anne Murphy, Paul Page, Noel Scullion, Alexander Sokolov, Imogen Stuart, Ken Thompson, Elke Western and Alexandra Weichart. BRAY ARTS SHOW

The Bray Arts Show takes place on the first Monday of every month in the Martello Hotel, Bray. Bray Arts is a forum for practition­ers of music, art, poetry, writing, dance and drama in the Bray area. Doors open at 8 p.m. and all are welcome. Admission is €5.

GREAT MUSIC IN IRISH HOUSES FESTIVAL

At Kilruddery House on Thursday, June 15, engaging French pianist Cedric Tiberghien joins forces with an ensemble of distinguis­hed and mainly Irish wind players, including oboist Matthew Manning, clarinetis­t Macdara Ó Seireadáin, bassoonist Peter Whelan and British horn player Alec Frank-Gemmill for two of the great works.

The musicians will perform Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds in E flat major and Beethoven’s Horn Sonata, Duo for Clarinet and Bassoon and Quintet for Piano and Winds.

This collaborat­ion between these exceptiona­l musicians, will also feature a number of Beethoven duos, making this concert one of the most exhilarati­ng musical highlights of the 2017 programme.

LEONARD COHEN’S BETWEEN YOUR LOVE AND MINE

Last summer, writer John MacKenna began work on a requiem for theatre, in memory of young friends and in honour of those who mourn them. The requiem was inspired, in particular, by Leonard Cohen’s hope-filled lines: ‘Behold the gates of mercy, in arbitrary space, and none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace, o solitude of longing where love has been confined, come healing of the body, come healing of the mind.’ Saturday, June 24, at Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray. 8 p.m. Tickets €20/€18 concession.

TEDDY BEARS’ PICNIC

A Teddy Bears’ Picnic will take place in aid of Purple House Cancer Support in St Joseph’s, Old Conna Avenue, Bray, on Tuesday, July 4, from midday. Admission is €6 per adult including refreshmen­ts and children go free.

BOOK CLUB GREYSTONES LIBRARY

For avid readers, there are three Book Clubs for adults in Greystones Library. The clubs take place on the second Wednesday and the last Wednesday of every month at 11am and the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm.

THE MUSIC CIRCLE

The Music Circle meets on the first Wednesday of every month in Greystones Library from 7 p.m. to 8.45 p.m. Listen, or participat­e by choosing your favourite classical pieces to share with others.

MUSIC MEDLEY

The East Coast Academy of Performing Arts is proud to present ‘A Musical Medley at The Mermaid Arts Centre on Saturday, July 17. The evening of song and dance will feature excerpts from all your favourite movies and musicals from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Hairspray, High School Musical, a Chorus Line and Cinderella. The event features students aged four to 12 from ECAPA’s Greystones branch.
