Laragh-Glendalough
MARIGOLD FESTIVAL
There was a great turn out for this year’s Active Retirement Ireland (ARI) Eastern Region South Marigold Festival in the Brockagh Centre, Laragh for the first time. Coaches full of festival goers laughed, danced, ate, were entertained by host Finbar Coady, the Rams (Rathfarmham), Jimmy Coogan (singer), and the Bright Side Of Life (Clondalkin).
We had pickleball and kubb demos, boules, zumba dancing, fish and chips, ice cream in the luncheon area outside. Talks on the main stage with holiday reps, stallholders selling clothes, bags, jams, jewellery, etc., along with Homestead Care set up in and around the building selling items and answering any questions about care in the home. Thank you to all who organised and participated in this wonderful event.
