CI­TI­ZEN’S IN­FOR­MA­TION

The Ci­ti­zens In­for­ma­tion Cen­tre at the Brock­agh Re­source Cen­tre is open for in­for­ma­tion re­lat­ing to your rights and en­ti­tle­ments from 10 a.m. till mid­day on the first and third Tues­day of each month. No ap­point­ment is nec­es­sary for this free and con­fi­den­tial ser­vice.

FIT­NESS DANCE

Keep fit through­out the sum­mer months with Adam. Just pop in on Wed­nes­day evenings at 7 p.m. in the Brock­agh Cen­tre, Laragh to dance your socks off with car­dio ex­er­cise danc­ing. You do not need to be a good dancer or very fit, dance at your own pace and en­joy the mu­sic. You can con­tact Adam at 083 3057949 for in­for­ma­tion.

MORN­ING YOGA

Louise’s yoga class will be held ev­ery Thurs­day from 10 to 11.15 a.m. This is a gen­tly paced class where stu­dents learn how to align, open and strengthen the body grad­u­ally while sta­bil­is­ing the plat­forms of the feet and an­kles, hips and pelvis and shoul­der gir­dle. CHAIR YOGA

Our very pop­u­lar Chair Yoga class will take place on Thurs­days from 11.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. Chair Yoga is suit­able for al­most ev­ery­one and helps stu­dents find balance and calm in ev­ery­day life. The class takes stu­dents through cen­ter­ing and breath­work, fol­lowed by pos­tures that let the joints move through their range of move­ment while seated or through use of the chair while stand­ing. WALK­ING GROUP

Join the Mondy morn­ing walk­ers at 10 a.m. at the Brock­agh Re­source Cen­tre for a walk around Glen­dalough area for ap­prox­i­mately one hour. In as­so­ci­a­tion with Get Ire­land Walk­ing, Wick­low Lo­cal Sports Part­ner­ship and Brock­agh Re­source Cen­tre. All ages and abil­i­ties are wel­come. MONEYSTOWN DANCE/BBQ

In aid of Moneystown Com­mu­nity Cen­tre will take place on Satur­day, July 29, in the com­mu­nity cen­tre start­ing at 8.30 p.m. Mu­sic by the Three Bobs, 10 p.m. till 12 and the Roamin Cadil­lacs, 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. and disco af­ter­wards. DOG SHOW

Our fun an­nual Dog Show in aid of Wick­low An­i­mal We­fare on Au­gust 6 at Brock­agh Re­source Cen­tre. Reg­is­tra­tion at 1.30 p.m. with show start­ing at 2 p.m. A big raf­fle on the day with plenty of car boot stalls to buy your bar­gains at. Con­tact Michelle at 0404 45600 to book a stall.

SUN­SHINE SUM­MER CAMP

Book in now for our ex­cit­ing, jam-packed sum­mer camp in the Brock­agh Re­source Cen­tre, Laragh. With Daily Guest Work­shops, Sports, art, Bak­ing, Games, Wood­land Ad­ven­tures and much more, this sum­mer camp is not to be missed. GLEN­DALOUGH TRAIL

The Glen­dalough Trail race is a 15.5km race which takes place on Satur­day, Novem­ber 4, with reg­is­tra­tion and re­fresh­ments at the Brock­agh Cen­tre, Laragh. The Glen­dalough Trail is a fan­tas­tic run­ning ex­pe­ri­ence with a route that is scenic, chal­leng­ing and safe. Not only will it be a fun, en­joy­able day but we hope to raise much needed funds for Fight­ing Blind­ness.

BAS­KET-MAK­ING

This full day, tra­di­tional bas­ket-mak­ing work­shop will teach you ba­sic bas­ketry tech­niques. Taught in a re­laxed learn­ing en­vi­ron­ment, you will bring home your own com­pleted small round wil­low bas­ket (a skib). The work­shops will take place in the Brock­agh Cen­tre from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Au­gust 8. Classes are small with five par­tic­i­pants. Gar­den work­shop also avail­able on re­quest.
