LAKERS TO HOLD ANNUAL WALKS

-

LAKERS has announced that their annual Glendalough walk will be held on Saturday, October 14, this year.

To ensure as many people as possible can participate, there will be three different walks on offer with varying levels of difficulty. All walks will commence from the Glendalough Upper Lake Car Park.

Walk A is 9km medium to difficult walk that will take approximately three hours. There will be plenty of hill-walking as walkers tackle The Spinc and so good walking gear is required. This walk will begin at noon and registration is at 11.30 a.m.

Walk B is of medium difficulty and will involve a 4km walk along the Grey Road and among woodland. It will involve walking up a slight incline and should take been 90 minutes and two hours to complete. This walk will begin at 2 p.m. with registration at 1.30 p.m.

Walk C will be a very easy, flat walk along the Green Road. It is 1km in length, wheelchair friendly and should take less than an hour to complete. It will start at 3 p.m. and registration is at 2.30 p.m.
