Gardaí investigate Greystones stabbing

GREYSTONES gardai are investigating a stabbing in the town on Tuesday night.

The victim who is believed to be in his 20s was jogging in the Blacklion area of Greystones, at around 9.30 p.m. on Tuesday when he was set upon by a number of men in balaclavas.

He suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries and was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital.

While the victim refused to make a statement, it is understood officers are probing whether he was targeted by the gang who left his with serious injuries to his chest and shoulders.
