Tró­caire – Work­ing for a Just World: The re­cent Tró­caire SHARE col­lec­tion in aid South Su­dan, So­ma­lia, Kenya and Ethiopia amounted to €5,642. Com­ing so soon after our ex­traor­di­nar­ily suc­cess­ful col­lec­tion for Sr. Orla Treacy in South Su­dan, your gen­eros­ity is even more greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.

Sa Bhaile – Help­ing the Home­less in Bray: The re­cent church gate col­lec­tion raised €1,167.75 for the Sa Bhaile Home­less Project. They were most grate­ful to both col­lec­tors and sub­scribers and truly ap­pre­ci­ate the sup­port from the Holy Redeemer par­ish­ioners.

Age Ac­tion Com­puter Cour­ses: Age Ac­tion runs be­gin­ner cour­ses in Com­put­ers, iPads and Tablets for older peo­ple with lit­tle or no ex­pe­ri­ence. Learn how to search the in­ter­net, send and re­ceive emails, shop and book flights us­ing your own de­vice or use those avail­able at the venue. An­nual Bless­ing of Graves: Kil­macanogue on Sun­day, Au­gust 20, at 3 p.m.; Curtlestown on Sun­day, Au­gust 27, at 3 p.m.

Pil­grim­age to Knock: In prepa­ra­tion for the World Meet­ing of Fam­i­lies 2018, the of­fi­cial Launch will take place in Knock on Au­gust 21 this year. This date is the ex­act date of the ap­pari­tions in Knock and will also be the date of the com­mence­ment of cel­e­bra­tions next year.

At Holy Redeemer we are con­sid­er­ing a small pil­grim­age leav­ing from Our Church at 9 a.m. on the day. Arch­bishop Diar­muid Martin will be the Main cel­e­brant at the 3 p.m.

Mass in the Basil­ica. Anoint­ing of the sick will di­rectly pre­cede this. We hope to leave Knock for home at 5 p.m. This Pil­grim­age will only take place if we have suf­fi­cient num­bers for a bus. Please leave your name in the par­ish of­fice if you are in­ter­ested in tak­ing part. We would en­cour­age fam­i­lies in par­tic­u­lar to join us on this spe­cial oc­ca­sion.

Queen of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club has had a great wind down be­fore the sum­mer twoweek break.

There was a trip to Clara Lara Fun Park with 13 mem­bers, twenty-one en­joyed a week­end in the Hid­den Val­ley in Rath­drum, twenty-three were in­volved in ca­noe­ing and surf­board­ing, the RNLI en­ter­tained 11, and snorkelling in­cluded four mem­bers.


Bray Divers have al­most com­pleted a very suc­cess­ful snorkel course for 11 young peo­ple. Th­ese young snorkel­ers are now ca­pa­ble of un­der­stand­ing what is nec­es­sary to snorkel safely at home and abroad. The same course will be of­fered to an­other group next Septem­ber.
