The Enniskerry field day takes place on Sunday, September 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join up to 10,000 others for a wonderful day of family fun. Fairground, pony rides, pet farm, games, traditiona­l sports, dog show, competitio­ns, art and crafts, music and dancing and much more. Tickets at venue, kids free, Just €5. Preceded by Event in the Tent on Friday, September 8, from 8 p.m. to 1.30 a.m. A fantastic night of live music, dancing, food, drink and merriment. Pig-on-a-spit, Wicklow Wolf beer, Live entertainm­ent by Bunty and the Bristlehou­nds. DJ till 1.30 a.m. Fantastic raffle.

MUSIC IN CALARY

Performers in this Fridays 8 p.m. Concert in Calary Church are the Walton Trio – Simon Watterson (piano); Anna Cashell (violin) and Aoife Nic Athaoich (cello) who will perform Beethoven’s Archduke Trio; Caesar Frank’s Violin Sonata in addition to pieces by Debussy, St Saen’s and De Falla. DOG SHOW

Our fun annual Dog Show in aid of Wicklow Animal Wefare takes place at Glendaloug­h Car Boot on August 6 at Brockagh Resource Centre. Registrati­on at 1.30 p.m. with show starting at 2 p.m. A big raffle on the day with plenty of car boot stalls to buy your bargains at. Contact Michelle at 0404 45600 to book a stall.

TAE KWON-DO

Teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentrat­ion, channeling aggression, balance, coordinati­on, speed, reactions, fitness and health. BASKET-MAKING

This full day, traditiona­l basket-making workshop will teach you basic basketry techniques. Taught in a relaxed learning environmen­t, you will bring home your own completed small round willow basket (a skib). The workshops will take place in the Brockagh Centre from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. ob September 17 and 23, October 7 and 21. Classes are small with five participan­ts.
