FIRST YEAR INDUCTION

As part of the extensive first year induction programme a meeting took place for the parents and guardians of the first year students last week. A large group of enthusiastic parents attended and were given information to help them support their son or daughter as they transfer from primary to secondary school.

Also as part of this programme the first year students enjoyed a Friendship Bonding Day on Friday. This gave the students a chance to get to know each other and help reduce anxiety in the move. The students got involved in a number of team building activities. The feedback was very positive and the students thoroughly enjoyed the day.
