The under-10s had their first game of the season today and lost 7-4 to Enniskerry but this was a great performance with everyone played well. Big thanks to Liam and Ricardo for looking after the team on the day and the scorers were Seán Prendergast (2), Cian Levins and Aidan Forster.

The under-11s had their first match of the league and it was a cracker against St Anthony’s at home, finishing up 4-4. This was a great team effort but special mention for Aishling Meehan, who scored a hat-trick and Seán Mooney with the final goal to draw level after the Glens had been 3-1 one at one point. Some great saves by Riley Burke to keep the Glen in the game.

The under-14s had a super win over St Anthony’s on Sunday morning, winning 8-0. Luke Kelly got three, John Fox, Aaron Killick, Oisin Kelly, Dylan Henry and Dean Bradshaw with the goals. This was a super performance from all the lads against St Anthony’s from the premier division and a special mention for Aaron Killick and Jamie Grehan, who made their debuts for the Glens and against their old club and it didn’t faze them one bit and Aaron capped it off with a goal. Well done to every single player today and a great response to last week’s defeat to keep manager Karl happy.

The seniors faced Greystones United at home on Sunday. It was 0-0 at the break and the Glens had missed a few good chances in that period. However, in the second period, the Glens gave away to soft goals to trail 2-0 with five minutes left before Luke O’Callaghan scored what looked like a consolation goal. Then a ball was clearly handled on the line but the referee ignored a blatant and obvious penalty, then disallowed a Mark Delahunt effort when he was clearly onside but Nathan Watters still found time to slot away a glens equaliser with the virtually the last kick of the game.

This week, its off to the Phoenix Park for a Sunday morning game v one of the league’s new entrants, Impression FC.
