Sunbeam artists exhibit their work

-

A BRAND new exhibition opened at the Arklow Visual Arts Gallery on Monday last.

Entitled ‘Different Strokes’, the exhibition is a showcase of the workof a group of talented Wicklow artists featuring a variety of exciting media.

The artists are clients of Sunbeam House Services and have been preparing for this latest show for some time.

Each artist in this exhibition works with a unique approach to their chosen media.

Participating artists are Emma Kinsella, Emma Reynolds, Laura Cooper, Martin O’Brien, Mary Nolan, Nicola Riley, Patrick Grummel, Rachel Langrell, Shirley Johnson and Tom Lawlor. A number of these artists are no strangers to exhibitions and have displayed their works in Arklow on previous occasions.

The media used include painting in gouache, inks, embroidery, wet feltmaking, print, and ceramics.

This is an exhibition full of colour, texture and of course talent.

While each work is unique in style, they share a theme of vibrant colour and are truly engaging.

There was a large crowd present for the official launch on Monday and the feedback was very positive.

Different Strokes will run at the Arklow Visual Arts Gallery on Main Street until Friday, October 13.

Admission is free and all are welcome to pop in and view these wonderful works.
