RATHNEW

Well done to our Seniors who defeated Louth champions-Newtown Blues on Sunday!

The day started well with a pre match meal at the Arches, the players and supporters buses leaving shortly after to make the journey to Drogheda.

The game was played on a bright and fresh autumn day, good playing conditions but the pitch was soft underfoot. The team started poorly with Mark Doyle getting our only score in the first half.

The lads put in a much improved second half performance to come from three points down at half-time to claim victory.

We thank the massive support from the club, the chants and colour in the stand really helped the team when it was needed. Our next game in the Leinster campaign we will face the Dublin champions in Aughrim. Please see fixtures.

BALLINACOR

The club would like to extend its sympathy to the family of Bridie Murphy on her passing last week. Bridie is a President of our club and was a huge supporter of the club for years.

Bridie was absolutely unbelievable for our club, helping to run fundraisers, selling tickets and attending every match no matter where it was. This is a massive loss to the club and the whole area and all our thoughts are with the family at this time.

The AGM has been set for Saturday 11th of November at 6.30 in Kirikee Hall. All are welcome and encouraged to attend as we get ready for next season.

The club would like to thank all players, supporters, management and committee for all the support during the year. Hopefully next year we can get back to being in the business end of the championship and league.
