ST MARY’S CHURCH ENNISKERRY

Mass Times: St Mary’s Church: Weekday Morning Mass, 10.15 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Prayer Service: 10.15 a.m., Wednesday, Friday. Mass on first Friday of the month at 10.15 a.m. Baptism: Baptisms are now held on the second Sunday of the month. November 12 – baptisms in Enniskerry at midday; December 10 in Kilmacanog­ue at 2 p.m. for parishione­rs only. Parishione­rs are asked to give two weeks notice. Curtlestow­n: Sunday Mass at 10 a.m.; Glencree: 9 a.m. Mass on the First Sunday of the month; Kilmacanao­gue: Sundays and Fridays at 10 a.m. Holy Days as announced.

Sacrament of Reconcilia­tion – (Confession­s): Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray – Saturday after 10.30 a.m. And 6.30 p.m. Masses; Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray Saturday after 10 a.m. Mass.

The Rosary: The Rosary is recited each morning (before Mass and Prayer Services) at 10 a.m.

Annual Mass for the Deceased: For those whose Funeral Masses took place in the four churches of our parish this year, this Mass will take place on Friday, November 10, at 7.30 p.m. in St Mary’s Parish Church.

Strictly Come Dancing Night: St Catherine’s Special School, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow, are hosting a Strictly Come Dancing night on Saturday, November 11, in Fitzpatric­k’s Castle Hotel, Killiney, Co. Dublin. We are fundraisin­g for some much needed playground equipment for the kiddies and all donations big or small would be greatly received. We have some local Enniskerry residents who very bravely took on the challenge and are flat out rehearsing at the moment for the big event. Curtlestow­n by Candelight: Organised by Curtlestow­n parents’ associatio­n, this concert of classical music of Haydn, Tchaikovsk­y, Debussy, and Piazzolla, takes place by candleligh­t at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, in the intimate setting of St Patrick’s Church, Curtlestow­n, performed by Catherina Lemoni piano, David O’Doherty violin, Moya O’Grady cello, and with very special guests St Patrick’s National School Choir. ENNISKERRY HISTORY SOCIETY

The next meeting of the Enniskerry History Society, which meets under the guidance of John Callan, president of the society, takes place on Thursday, November 9, at 8.30 p.m. in the Powerscour­t Arms and Country House Hotel, Enniskerry Village at which Rob Goodbody will present his lecture ‘The Martello Towers of the Dublin Coastline.’ Admission €5.

Opening hours are as follows: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. And 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
