CHRISTMAS LIGHTS EXCITEMENT IN BRAY AND GREYSTONES

CHRISTMAS lights in both Bray and Greystones will be switched on this Saturday evening, November 25.

In Bray, the entertainm­ent will start at 4.30 p.m. with lights going on at 5.15 p.m.

One local child will be selected to turn on Bray’s Christmas Lights this year.

The show, hosted by East Coast Fm’s Declan Meehan, will feature performanc­es from local choirs and a very special visitor coming all the way from the North Pole will also be in attendance. He will draw the lucky raffle ticket to select the child to push the button and turn on the lights.

Also in attendance will be the Cathaoirea­ch Christophe­r Fox and back by popular demand from last year will be some Christmas snow and a Christmas DJ.

Bray Municipal District and busi- nesses have contribute­d t othis year’s lights.

In Greystones, the lights will be going on at 5.15 p.m.

Santa will make his way from Bray to Greystones for around 6 p.m.

The entertainm­ent will also include carol singing and a short ecumenical service.

The event has been organised by the Greystones 2020 group in conjunctio­n with the Community Affairs Committee of Greystones Municipal District.
