CAN CAT FIND SARAH JANE – BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE?

-

IN DEEP WATER is the second in the Cat Connolly series by author Sam Blake, the first being Little Bones. As readers, author Sam Blake cleverly immerses us back in to Cat Connolly’s relationships and past so those of us that have read book one can pick up right where we left off and for those that haven’t, In Deep Water can be read as a stand-alone novel.

However, to truly enjoy Cat Connolly and the deeper development of her character as she navigates her way through PTSD and the consequences of the trauma she suffered in book one, I would highly recommend reading Little Bones first.

Following the explosive end of book one, kickboxing champion Cat Connolly is finally back at training, fighting fit and working towards regaining her kickboxing title. Her sparring partner and best friend

Sarah Jane Hansen becomes the object of her next investigation when she doesn’t show up for her training session at the gym.

Trusting her instincts, she persuades O’Rourke that there is much more than meets the eye and they both embark on unravelling the events that led up to Sarah Jane’s disappearance.

However, what starts as a straightforward missing-persons case soon turns into something much more complex as their investigation brings them to a dark world of professional killers and human trafficking. Sam Blake keeps you guessing as she weaves a complex web of threads right through to the very end.

Sam Blake is a pseudonym for Vanessa Fox O’Loughlin, who is originally from St Albans in Hertfordshire but has lived at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland for almost more years than she lived in the UK. She has been writing fiction since 1999, when her husband went sailing across the Atlantic for eight weeks and she had an idea for a book.

Vanessa is also the founder of The Inkwell Group publishing consultancy and the writing resources website writing.ie. She is one of Ireland’s leading literary scouts and has assisted many award-winning and bestselling authors with the publication of their books.
