WINE TASTING EVENING
Rathdrum Tidy Towns are hosting this wine and complimentary food tasting night with Jean Smullen. Tickets, which cost €10, are limited to 35 people and are available from Tidy Towns’ committee members or by contacting the group via Facebook.
CHRISTMAS SELECTION BOX
Blessington Youth Theatre presents this fun show jam-packed with dance performances and much-loved songs from movies like Beauty and the Beast, the Wizard of Oz. Moana, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and more. The evening will end with a short drama called ‘Humbug’ and some Christmas carols. Tickets are available from The Office Shop and Hennessys Next Door on Main Street, Blessington, and cost €10 for adults and €8 for children.

Bray Musical Society will create ‘A Whole New World’ as they bring this well-known tale to the panto stage. Tickets are €10 for adults, €5 for children or €28 for a family (two adults and two children).
SET DANCING CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHT
The dancefloor is expected to get a drubbing as guests party on into the small hours to music by Pat Bass & Co. cards will be on sale.
BLESSINGTON LIGHTS UP CHRISTMAS
This annual day of family fun returns, bigger and better than ever. Entertainment begins at 1 p.m. with music from the Rockabilly Rebels, followed by the arrival of Santa Claus in his horse and carriage at 1.30 p.m. The crowd will be entertained by local acts throughout the afternoon before the big moment arrives – the switching on of the new Christmas lights at 4.30 p.m.
FUN DAY AND MARKET
As part of Rathdrum Christmas Festival, a festive market packed with seasonal treats and gift ideas will take place from 1.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Family fun events will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., including carol singing, special performances, face painting and the big arrival of Santa to switch on the Christmas lights at 4.30 p.m. DJ Albert will playing throughout the day and there will plenty of surprises.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
This fundraising sale will feature all kinds of local produce and crafts, including a selection of festive treats and Christmas gifts. Proceeds will be in aid of the Shillelagh Christmas lights and Wicklow Animal Welfare.
FESTIVE MOVIE NIGHT
Firm family favourite ‘ Elf’ will be screened at this movie night in aid of the Elevation Dance Team. The group are trying to raise funds for uniforms, West End and Disney opportunities and for competitions. Guests are invited to wear their Christmas pyjamas. Entry is €4.50 and includes a hot chocolate.
LIGHT-UP DUNLAVIN
Everyone is welcome to come along to the switching on of the lights in Dunlavin and enjoy the mulled wine and mince pie reception as well as joining in with the school choir as they sing some much-loved Christmas carols.
CHRISTMAS MARKET
The Donoughmore and Donard Christmas Market will feature a silent auction, cakes, toys and many more stalls as well as a raffle, mulled wine and mince pies.

PARISH CHRISTMAS DINNER
The St Peter’s Parish annual Christmas dinner also serves up a mouth-watering meal, plenty of chat and lots and lots of Christmas cheer. Tickets cost €20.
FUNDRAISING QUIZ
This fundraising table quiz, which is being held to raise money for a defibrillator for Redcross Village, will also feature a raffle with some great prizes. Entry is €20 for a table of four.
RACE NIGHT
Hollywood Tidy Towns offer people the chance to enjoy a flutter on a horse without losing their shirts and all in support of the Hollywood NS lip sync fundraiser. Admission is free, the first race gets under way at 9.30 p.m. and a disco will follow the final race.
Come and browse the wide range of stalls offering lots of goodies, including jewellery, home baking, Christmas gifts, arts and crafts, candles, books, cards and more. For the smaller folk, the highlight will undoubtedly be the arrival of Santa Claus at his grotto at 1 p.m.
FESTIVE FAIR
Organised by Kilmacanogue Senior Citizens Committee, this fair will feature home baking, bric-abrac and more.
VINTAGE FUN RUN
This is a free event, not linked to any club, which is open to all classic and vintage car enthusiasts. Weather permitting, the run will leave the Tesco in Arklow and follow a route through Gorey, Ferns, Bunclody, Tullow, Baltinglass, Blessington, the Sally Gap, Ashford and then back to Arklow.
FAMILY FUN DAY
The school opens its doors for its annual Christmas family fun day featuring home baking, handmade crafts, wreaths, barbecue delights, refreshments, nail art, pottery making, games and lots more, including a raffle with lots of fantastic prizes.
CRAFT FAIR
Scoil Chonglais throws open its doors for a special fair full of wonderful gift ideas and delicious Christmas treats. There will be seasonal fayre, arts and crafts, cakes, yule logs, jewellery, wheel of fortune, bottle stall and face painting.
Don the Santa hats and Christmas jumpers and get involved in this family fun run to the North Pole (aka, the Monkey Pole). There will be refreshments afterwards in the Boathouse. Organised by St Patrick’s NS, pre-registration will take place in the school or can be carried out on the day. The cost of entry is €10 per family.
SALE OF WORK
Visitors to the annual Roundwood and Moneystown Parish sale of work are in for a treat as the event will feature a wheel of fortune, bottle stall, flower arrangements and Christmas decorations, an arts and craft stall, White Elephant, roulette, bingo, teas, home produce, games, face painting, a toy stall, carol siging, books, a raffle and a special visit from the man in red.
