Off-licence award for Power’s Centra
THE Centra Store in Rathnew was among the top-winners attending the 19th annual Edward Dillon and Santa Rita Estates Centra Off Licence of the Year Awards held in The Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny.
Power’s Centra Rathnew won a runners-up award for Neighbourhood Off Licence of the Year.
Mark Power and Philip Gormley attended representing Power’s Centra Rathnew.
They received their award from Andy O’Hara, CEO of Edward Dillon, Donagh McClafferty, Category Manager at Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland and Tom Gaskin, Santa Rita Estates.
Each of the finalist stores were judged by Rodney Trenwith and were marked on a range of criteria including overall appearance, innovation and customer service.
The winners of the awards will enjoy a wonderful trip to Spain visiting Rioja, Barcelona and Sitges.
All finalists also received a certificate of achievement on the night. THE revaluation of all commercial and industrial property in the county is currently taking place.
Last month, John O’Sullivan, Commissioner of Valuation, signed the Valuation Order for the rating authority area of Wicklow County Council, signalling the formal commencement of the revaluation.
It’s part of a national programme to modernise the rateable valuation of all commercial and industrial property in Ireland.
The purpose of revaluation is to bring increased transparency and more equity to the local authority rating system.
Following revaluation, there will be a much closer and uniform relationship between the current annual rental values of commercial properties and their commercial rates liability.
The first step will see the Valuation Office write to all owners and occupiers of rate properties requiring them to complete and return a Revaluation Information Form.
