COMMUNITY ALERT

Anyone, who may be interested in applying for Monitors Alarms for loved ones, should get in contact with Dan at 087 4605166, Katriona 085 1535678, Marion 086 8685007. Those alarms can be provided free of charge for those who must be over 65 years, and living in our local area, and are in contact with the local Community Group.

Also at present up to two Smoke Alarms are also available free for anyone who may need them, so please contact any of the above numbers to check out availabili­ty of either of above items.

INCH MARKET

The local car boot sale and Market has re-opened on Saturdays at Inch Hall, and will continue throughout the year.

DRAMA NEWS

The all-Ireland winning play ‘Something Unspoken’ and ‘Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen’ will be performed at St Mogue’s Hall, Inch on Thursday, January 18, at 8.30 p.m. Tickets €10.

The AGM of the Coolgreany ADS is on Thursday, January 25, at 8.30 in St Mogue’s Inch. Membership payable on the night for the upcoming year.

SYMPATHY

The local community extend their deepest sympathy to the Mooehouse family on the death of Eddie Moorehouse Glenview, Thomastown, whose burial took place in St Gabriel’s Cemetery Arklow, on last Thursday after Funeral Mass in St David’s Church Johnstown.

BIRTHDAYS

Birthday greetings to Callium Whitmore, Croghan View, who celebrated his birthday on January 13; also Labhaoise Power, Coolgreany Demesne, whose 10th birthday was on January 14, and Áine Bracken, Thomastown, whose sixth birthday is on January 16.

MACRA NA FEIRME

Wicklow Macra wants to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Johnstown-Coolgreany are meeting on the Friday, January 19, at 8.30 in May Byrne House in Coolgreany. Hope to see all the members.

HANDBALL LOTTO

Coolgreany Handball lotto now stands at €3,500, lotto tickets are available in Jim Short’s, Coolgreany post office, O’Rafferty’s. and Liam Clare. A new prize format is now in place, with seven lucky dips worth €30 each and one Sellers Prize.

There was two lucky-dip winners in the last draw, Joe Byrne, Croghan View, and Ryanne Cullen, Plattinsto­wn, receiving €30 each. Your support is very much appreciate­d by the club.
