IT’S ALL HANDS ON DECK!
Community pulls together in snow
SNOW began to fall in Bray last Tuesday evening and the thaw didn’t begin until Sunday following the ‘Beast from the East’ and Storm Emma.
The weather failed to dampen the spirits of the people of the town and its environs, who faced the extreme conditions with good humour and kindness to one another.
Hundreds of volunteers and workers across a range of organisations did what they could to keep everyone safe and well.
Once the thaw began, it was all hands on deck as traders, council workers and local people worked to clear the snow, make repairs and get things running again.
The council has asked people to avoid higher ground, where conditions remain treacherous.
