Rhys grabs 4-1 in big Coláiste Chill Mhantáin victory
COLÁISTE CHILL MHANTÁIN had a convincing win over St. David’s Greystones on Thursday in Rathnew.
CCM were very solid in defence with some sterling performances from Paul Marah, Mark Whelan and Dylan Moorehouse.
Their strong midfield of Callum Kelly and team captain Ross Quinn gave their forwards plenty of scoring opportunities.
The standout performances in the forward line came from Noah Sheridan and Rhys Doyle.
Others to shine were Shane Marah and Max Kearney. CCM now play Coláiste Bhríde in the quarter-final. Top scorers were Rhys Doyle 4-1 and Noah Sheridan 3-3.
In another game in the Junior football championship St Kevin’s CC Dunlavin had a convincing win over Arklow CBS to reach the semi final where they will meet Avondale CC.
BOYS SENIOR FOOTBALL B
Arklow CBS qualified for the senior B semi-final with a 1-9 to 0-7 win over Coláiste Chraobh Abhann in a closely contested game in Kilcoole.
The winners had a strong half back line in Tomas Lynch, Ben Fennell and Dylan Furlong while Sean Crowley impressed in mid- field. In attack, Quentin O’Reilly kicked some fine points while their goal scorer was Conor Breslin.
