Build up of sand at Harbour after storm
BRAY Harbour escaped too much permanent damage during Storm Emma, compared with the damage sustained in some other harbours, according to Bray Harbour Action Group.
However, a lot of sand and other matter ended up on the road, and there was some flooding of buildings in the harbour area, as well as damage to fencing and road surface.
The action group said that this underlines their desire for improved permanent protection.
‘We very much appreciate the efforts of Bray Municipal District and the council employees who have put a huge amount of work into clearing up the debris and mess left behind,’ said a spokesman.
