Wednesday, February 21, had scores from two busy rooms joined and overall winners. First were Evlene Phillips and Joan McElhinney. Una Ryan and Una McGowran were in second place and in third were Joe Heaslip and Jack McElhinney. Looked like husband and wife ran a close battle through the night.

Thursday, February 22, had Jack McElhinney still playing very well and he was first with Neil McKeever followed closely by Ita O’Boyle and Jackie Taylor Fogarty in second. Celine Healy and David Lavelle were third.

Friday morning, February 23, was a well-fought game with first going to Dolores Heatley and Dorothy Johnson. Second were Jean Bonus and Eileen Sheehan and in third were Ena Hickey and Elizabeth McCarthy.

Monday, February 26, was busy with people happy to come out in cold weather. First place went to Una McGowran and Marie Sheane. In second were Mary Rose Delahunt and Noeleen Meehan and in third place were duo Joe Kelly and Leonard Murphy.

Due to expected poor weather conditions, a wise decision was made not to have bridge for the rest of the week.
