MAXI Zoo will host snake and Easter egg hunts during St Patrick’s Day and Easter bank-holiday weekends.

The store’s traditional St Patrick’s Day Snake Hunt returns on Sunday, March 18 and will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31, with both events taking place from 12 midday to 4 p.m.

Children participating in each event will need to follow clues to find nine letters scattered throughout the store. Once found, they will need to arrange the nine letters into a word to claim their prize.

Parents can help their kids along the way and successful sleuths will win prizes of goody-bags for the snake hunt and Easter eggs for the egg hunt while stocks last.

The store’s pet experts will also be on hand during the day to share their expertise with pet parents on how to make the most of spring and the improving weather conditions and brighter evenings.

Pet-parents who want to learn more about the importance of pet nutrition and the benefits of natural and grain free nutrition are invited to attend a series of free Real Nature Demo days at the store on March 18, 24, 25 and 31.

‘Many dogs produce less waste after switching to grain-free food. This helps to reduce the size of their stools as well as the number of times that they need to relieve themselves,’ said Darren Spoonley, Head of Sales and Marketing at Maxi Zoo Ireland.
