Horseshow
Kilmacanogue and District Horse Show takes place on Saturday, July 28, at Monastery Cross from 10 a.m.
Besides the ponies, horses and sheep there is plenty to keep everyone busy including the very popular dog show, pony rides, ‘guess the weight of the lamb’ and art competitions. There are delicious locally grown raspberries to enjoy with ice-cream, craft stalls to browse and find bargains at, food and trade stands including demonstrations on health and safety and a farrier at work.
Staff artist
Signal Arts Centre is currently seeking applications for the position of staff artist on a Department of Social Protection-funded Community Employment Scheme.
Candidates should be skilled in the area of visual art and experience in workshop facilitation or working with children would be an advantage.

Exhibition onscreen
Cézanne Portraits of a Life will be on at Mermaid Arts Centre on Friday, June 29, at 8 p.m. Tickets are €8.50 or €7 concession.
Understanding the significance and genius of Paul Cézanne. Featuring interviews with curators and experts from the National Portrait Gallery London, MoMA New York, National Gallery of Art Washington, and Musée d’Orsay Paris, and correspondence from the artist himself, the film takes audiences beyond the exhibition to the places Cézanne lived and worked and sheds light on an artist who is perhaps the least known of all the impressionists – till now.

The Dubliners
All For Me Grog: The songs and Story of the Dubliners will be on at Mermaid Arts Centre on Saturday, June 303 at 8 p.m.
Tickets are €20 or €18 concession. Presented by the Liberties, who replace the original line-up with the exact same instrumentation, songs and close as you will get voices.
The unusual and wonderful voice of Ronnie Drew is brought to life by Wayne Wilder. The Black Velvet Band, McAlpines Fusiliers, The Spanish Lady, The Irish Rover and of course, the song that made the Dubliners international stars-Seven Drunken Nights plus all their other hits, will have you clapping your hands, stomping your feet and joining in the chorus of the well known and much loved songs at this uplifting and exciting show.
Alzheimer Café times
The Alzheimer Café meets on the last Thursday of each month from 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their new venue, Sunbeam House Services, Cedar Industrial Estate, Killarney Road.
The Alzheimer Café is a relaxed place where people with dementia, their families and friends, health and social care professionals come together for education and support over a cup of tea. It is a safe space where people can share experiences and talk about dementia.
This is a voluntary joint initiative by St Columcille’s Hospital and Community Health in South Dublin and Wicklow. It is free of charge. They welcome people with all types of dementia and their families or carers.

Babies at the Bridge
Babies at the Bridge. Meets every Tuesday 10.30 till 12 at the Epworth Hall, Florence Road. For new mums/ dads/or minders and their first baby. Age group: Newborn up to crawling. Voluntary contribution of €3. Tea, coffee, biscuits and chat.

Aware group
Mental health organisation Aware hosts a support group every Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. in the Villa Pacis Centre, on the grounds of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church on Putland Road in Bray.
Aware support groups offer individuals the opportunity to talk openly about depression, bipolar and other related mood disorders and their impact.

People want to remain living in their own homes and their communities and HomeLink reaches out to older people making them feel more comfortable so they can live at home for longer. The staff and volunteers contact members with regular phone calls, arrange small repairs and organise a range of social events throughout the year.

StellaMaris Project
The Stella Maris Project will perform at Calary Church in Kilmacanogue on Thursday, June 28, at 8 p.m.
Tickets are €18 or €15 concession, available on the door.
The Stella Maris Project is a quintet featuring some of the most renowned European musicians.
The project takes its name from the Stella Maris church in Magherabeg, Donegal.
The project is the result of a yearlong rpocess – the brainchild of longtime musical collaborators, Irish drummer Seán Carpio and Danish guitarist Mikel Plough.
Grow mental health group
Grow Community Mental Health Movement meets every Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Parish Centre, Queen of Peace Church, Putland Road, Bray. If you are lonely, isolated or suffering from stress, why not come learn a practical psychology of mental health? GROW is a mutual help, mutual support group for personal growth and change.

A mother and toddler group meets weekly at Ballywaltrim Community Centre. The group will meet each Wednesday from 9.15 a.m. till 10.15 a.m.

Enniskerry Festival
The Enniskerry Festival will take place in the village on September 7 and eight. The festival will include Bagatelle, a disco for teenagers, Victorian field day, pony rides and more. Funds for Open Door and Enniskerry parishes.
