BLOOD CLINIC

Almost 100 people attended the blood clinic held recently in the RDA Hall. There were two awards given on the night - one gold and one silver. Well done to all. The Blood Clinic will return later in the year.

FIREWORKS NIGHT

Thursday August 9 is the date for the Fireworks Display. The Bandits Band from Wicklow will again provide the entertainment in the Market Square beforehand. Everyone welcome.

THURSDAY WALKS

Yet another fabulous evening greeted the 23 walkers who turned up in Glendalough last week to do the Spinc Loop. While the climb to the Spinc itself was tough, the prize in the form of the spectacular views was worth it for all, including some who were on The Spinc for the first time ever in their 75 years. Well done Teresa Healy.

A word for one of our regular walkers, Mary Mackey, who broke a bone in her foot and much to her disgust will miss the rest of the season.

A word also for Irene Langrell who retired on Friday last and looks forward to much more walking, among other things. Good luck to Irene.

This week takes us to Croghanmoira where the aforementioned Irene has agreed to be the weeks guest leader. Meet as usual in Parnell Memorial Park Rathrum for 7 p.m., and Glenmalure Lodge at 7.20 before travelling to the walk start.

GYMNASTICS CAMPS

This is our 10th year running summer camps. The camps are always full so booking early essential. Camps are all run by professional coaches who are all ex or current gymnasts. Great fun for all from the absolute beginner up to the very aspiring gymnast. Camps cover floor, vault, bars, beam, trampoline and our Air Floor for basic tumbling skills or Trampoline only. Ages 3+ is gymnastics only.

Camps are licensed by Gymnastics Ireland and all participants are registered with them for summer membership. All coaches are Garda Vetted.
