The World Meeting of families will take place from August 21 to August 26 and anyone interested in volunteering or attending any of the scheduled events, should contact the parish office at 0402 31716 and speak with Margaret. There are busses arranged from Arklow, for ease of transport.
The Old Church Restoration Project is due to take another burst for completion, so we will once again be calling on our volunteers and Pat Power will be in touch with you in the near future. We are hoping this year we can complete the project, weather and funds permitting.

GYMKHANA
The annual Coolgreany Gymkhana will be held in Coolgreany on Sunday, September 23, in Coolgreany, and plans are advancing favourably for that day, which is always very worth – while with some lovely Trophies and Cups to be won, and also some very good prizes in the Dog Show section.
SCOIL ÍOSAGÁIN
The parents’ association would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our Family Fun Day in Coolgreany last Sunday. Every year we are overwhelmed with the generosity of all our sponsors and we really appreciate your support.
Thanks to all those who bought raffle tickets, those who helped out in an any way and to those who came on the day. It was a fantastic afternoon for all the family and some great memories were made.
SPECIAL OLYMPIAN
Congratulations to Caroline Cullen, Plattinstown, who took home two medals for Team Leinster at the National Special Olympics games which took place at the National Sports Campus in Blanchardstown on June 15. Caroline was cheered on by her proud mother Mary, family and friends and the fantastic team from St Aidan’s Services on the day.
TIDY TOWNS
The local community are making a very big effort to clean all roads around the village in preparation for the Tidy Towns Competitions Judging which will start around early June. It is with all the local support that better results can be achieved when the adjudication is completed, and the committee are appealing for more help to keep the work going, and for all householders to make a big effort in front of their own homes over the next number of weeks.
