Temporary notices address litter bugs

-

TEMPORARY notices asking people why they litter are to be erected in prominent locations around Bray town.

The initiative is part of Bray Municipal District’s commitment to tackle litter.

Their aim is to boost pride in Bray by improving our local environment and street-scape.

‘This information aims to encourage good behaviour in relation to managing litter and waste and compliance with existing litter and waste legislation,’ said Cllr Pat Vance, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council.

‘We are asking the public to show

Bray the TLC it deserves by binning their litter.’

Cllr Vance said that while it is great to see the amenity spaces in Bray being used in the current hot weather, ‘we need people to act more responsibility and be a little bit more conscious of whatever they bring to a space, they should take away.’
