Tourism outlets offered social media training
FREE social media training for small to medium-sized Wicklow tourism businesses will take place over four morning sessions this autumn.
The course is suitable for businesses that are active on social media already but are keen to gain practical skills and attract more visitors to the county.
The training programme is an initiative of County Wicklow Partnership and is supported by the Wicklow Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) through the LEADER programme.
Training will be delivered by industry specialists over four morning sessions and will assist tourism businesses to build their social media profiles and gain practical skills with the aim of attracting more visitors to Wicklow.
Topics will include developing a social media strategy with a focus on using tourism platforms, managing crisis scenarios on social media channels, creating content and online video, understanding social media advertising, analytics and email marketing.
Applications are welcome from small to medium-sized tourism businesses based in County Wicklow that are active on social media already but are keen to enhance their impact, or graduates from phase one of the programme which focused on basic social media skills.
The courses will take place on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wicklow County Campus in Rathnew on September 19, October 3 and October 17 and November 7.
