Drink driver put off the road

A BRAY man was fined and banned from driving for seven years at Thursday’s sitting of Bray District Court.

Daniel Cawley of 14 Old Connaught View, Bray, was charged with exceeding the drink driving limit, driving without insurance and failing to produce a driving licence after he was stopped at Fassaroe, Bray on March 6, 2016.

Judge David Kennedy imposed a €750 fine and banned the defendant from driving for seven years. He also imposed a three-month prison sentence to be suspended for a period two years once the defendant remains of good behaviour for two years.

Cawley was is also required to carry out 240 hours of community service.
