The defending champions now trail leaders Dundalk by six points who also have a game in hand and a superior goal difference with just six matches to play.

These two have won the last four league titles, with three to Dundalk and one to Cork and once again the league crown will rest either Leeside or return to Oriel Park.

It is last surely chance saloon for John Caulfield’s side however, as they surely must beat Dundalk and then hope for other teams to do them a favour when facing Stephen Kenny’s side.
