Enniskerry Walkers bbegin their new season of walks on Saturday, November 10. The Walkers leave from Town Clock opposite Windsors Spar.

Powerscour­t Arms darts team lost 5-3 after a fixture mix up. The team were at home waiting on the opposition not knowing that the fixture venue had been reversed.

Copies of Altar Lists of the Dead: These are available at the back of the church – please complete and return in envelopes provided. They can be left into sacristy or parish office. Mass is offered on the First Friday of each month for all those whose names are on the Altar List of the Dead.

Annual Mass for the Deceased: Will be celebrated in St Mary’s Parish Church this Friday at 7.30 p.m. All those whose funeral Masses took place in the parish since November 2017 will be included in the Mass and if you have a friend or relative you would like to be remembered please contact Margaret or Joyce in the parish offices so we may include your loved one’s name and light a candle for them.

St Mochonog’s: Calling All Volunteers. We would like to provide tea or coffee and refreshmen­ts after Mass in Kilmacanog­ue on certain Sundays and special occasions. HISTORY SOCIETY

The next meeting of the Enniskerry History Society will take place at 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, in the Powerscour­t Arms and Country House Hotel in the village at which James Scannell will present his lecture on ‘The Torpedoing of the RMS Leinster – October 10, 1918, and Some Wicklow Connection­s’ – all welcome, admission €5.

The next events that may be of interest for Enniskerry History Society members and supporters are tomorrow’s (Thursday) 8 p.m. lecture by Ruth Ferguson on ‘The original Houses of Belfield’ to the Mount Merrion Historical Society in the community centre, North Avenue, Mount Merrion, Co. Opening hours for the library located on Church Road, Enniskerry, are – Tuesday and Friday: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., and Saturday: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. New members to the library are always very welcome. MEALS ON WHEELS

Operates in Enniskerry and Kilmacanog­ue and delivers hot meals every Tuesday and Thursday to older people in their homes. It’s an opportunit­y to connect with the community and provide a hot meal and social contact call to older people in the area.

We are looking for volunteer drivers who can give up two or three hours twice a month to facilitate this much needed service. Interested volunteers should contact Maoiliosa Kelly at 086 8322466 for further informatio­n.
