CHRISTMAS FAIR

The fair which is aid of Greystones Resource Centre takes place in the Mill Room on Sunday, November 25, from midday to 5 p.m. There will be many stalls including lots of Guess the Weight/Amount games as well as a Bumper Raffle. COMMUNITY POLICING CLINIC

INDOOR BOWLS

Bowls has now returned on Tuesday evenings as well as Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. in St Patrick’s/Forrester’s Hall. New members are welcome.

Come join us for Monday Night Bingo in St Patrick’s Hall, Kilcoole. First game at 8 p.m. €10 per book (to include loose sheet and jackpot game). Extra loose sheet €1. Raffle Tickets on sale on the night. All welcome to attend.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

The centre is available for bookings (e.g. classes, meetings, birthday parties). Bookings can be made via email kilcoolecc@ gmail.com or by phone 01 2872017. The office is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is closed for lunch between 12.30 p.m and 1.15 p.m.

PARENT/TODDLER GROUP

All are welcome to come along to the parent and toddler group at the community centre from 10.30 p.m. to midday every Wednesday. €2 per child.

RECYCLE CLOTHES WEEK

The Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh will be collecting clothes in aid of the centre from Monday, November 5, to Friday, November 9. You can drop in your clothes bag throughout the week up till midday on the Friday. Thank you for your support.

TIDY TOWNS

Representa­tives from the village attended a recent function in Brooklodge to acknowledg­e the efforts with the Pure Mile project (from Ballard wood to the village). Hopefully, more work will be planned to enhance this stretch of road next year.

In order to celebrate our impressive results in the recent Tidy Towns competitio­n and also to announce the winners in the kerbside garden competitio­n, a get-together is planned for Friday, November 16, at 9 p.m. in Lynhams. The prizes for the garden competitio­n will be sponsored by Avon Motors and will be awarded to winners in three categories − small, medium and larger garden.

All are very welcome. It is an opportunit­y to thank everyone for their help throughout the year with litter picking, weeding, erecting granite stones, strimming verges, painting, planting shrubs and the numerous other tasks that helped improve our score by 13 points. Keep up the great work.

A Mass of remembranc­e for those who died during the year will take place in St Kevin’s church at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 17.

TAMING THE MONKEY MIND

Taming the Monkey Mind is a six-week programme that consists of one and a half hours each week. Participan­ts can expect to learn mindfulnes­s practices for life to bring more ease and calm into the day, ease a racing mind, reduce stress and increase calm and well-being, reconnect with what makes them truly happy. HAPPY DAYS

Tuesdays mornings 10.30 – midday at the Brockagh Centre, parents, babies and toddlers get together, have lots of fun weeks with art and crafts and make new friends. TAE KWON-DO

Call Master Kenneth Wheatley at 087 2547347 for further informatio­n. Classes are on Tuesdays at 7.45 p.m. to 8.45 p.m. (seniors and teens). Children’s classes are on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. (4-7 years), 6.45 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. (8-12 years).

GO FOR LIFE

The group meet most Tuesdays, so if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, bowls, music come along on at 11 a.m., they welcome any newcomer. The group meet for lunch once a month at various venues. For further informatio­n, call Denise at the Brockagh Centre at 0404 45600 or drop in.
