Soccer awards a success
CARNEW AFC juvenile club held their presentation day in McCrea’s bar on Sunday last.
There was a tremendous turnout on the day from all teams and the committee would like to say a big thank you all the support on the day and throughout the season.
The under-8 boys, under-10 boys and under-12 boys who are non-competitive were presented with certificates, medals and goody bags on the day.
The under-12 girls, who are competitive, were presented with certificates and goody bags.
The under-13 boys, who were Division 1 short season shield winners, were presented with medals, certificates and goody bags, and the under-14 boys, who were Premier Cup runners up were presented with their medals, certificates and goody bags also.

Under-12 girls:
Top scorer award: Molly Gregan Players player of the year: Molly Gregan
Manager’s player of the year: Aoife Molloy
Under-13 boys
Top scorer award: Adam Donohue
Players player of the year: Zach Jordan
Manager’s player of the year: Darragh Dee
Under-14 boys
Top scorer award: Daniel Red- mond
Players player of the year: Roland Chlechowitz
Manager’s player of the year: Ben Gilligan and Richard Green
The club was also delighted to present their county awards to the following players:
At under-14 level and the first time that the club has had players in the Kennedy Cup: Daniel Redmond, Ben Gilligan, Charlie O’Sullivan, Richard Green, Roland Chlechowitz, and Shane Byrne.
At under-13 level the club had three players: Sean Kenny, Jack Kavanagh and Zach Jordan.
‘We very much look forward to the new season which will commence next weekend. All new players welcome to join,’ said a club spokesperson.
